Clutching at straws you tell your kid, or your best bud and you get a response equivalent to “pass the salt”…
Ever wished you knew just a few more people socially who didn’t think you were crackers for using words like ‘aura’ or believing in the possibility of ghosts?
Get the feeling that existence is approaching a precipice and we as humans either drop off and die or learn to fly … and want to talk about that?
Breath a sigh of relief, Holistic Herts is here! Finally, a local network connecting inspired and inspiring people from this area. Sign up, get any enlightened colleagues to sign up, and let’s throw a real party!
Aside from partying, which is fun and all, we intend to meet on a regular basis, just to network for business purposes, and perhaps take turns to teach each other a little about our particular field of interest. We can invite in speakers to inform us all, watch intriguing films together, and host a book club for all those books that you currently read alone and wish you could discuss with someone else who actually ‘gets it’. This is your network, your club, let’s each of us use it to satisfy our intellectual curiosity, gain understanding and most importantly change our lives and the lives of those around us for the better with what we have learnt.
Who’s invited? Holistic Herts is a free social network for those based in and around Hertfordshire whose interests include anything Holistic. This includes practitioners of any of the complimentary therapies (i.e. Acupuncture, Chiropody, Podiatry, Counselling, Psychotherapy, Holistic Massage, Hypnotherapy, Indian Head Massage, Nutrition, Osteopathy, Physiotherapy, Reflexology) plus those with metaphysical interests as well (e.g. UFOs, Ghosts, Angels, Tarot, Healing, Psychic, Paranormal and so forth). The network is open to all those interested in the whole person and the whole truth. You don’t have to buy the whole pie, just be open-minded enough to take a bite.
Some things we intend to do with the website:
1) List events, exhibitions, meetings, conferences of a holistic nature happening in Hertfordshire.
2) Post up a regular holistic newsletter introducing new members to the network as well as the products and services each of us offer. The newsletter will of course contain further information of interest to us all, and perhaps articles written by other members – we await your submissions!
3) Provide a ‘What’s on TV’ section notifying everyone of programmes airing shortly that may be of interest.
Of course these are just a few of the possibilities – let us know if you have any suggestions.

* It’s local, so we can meet in person rather than just in bits and bytes
* It’s more secure – unlike other more high profile networking systems (you know who we mean!) we don’t display your profile unless you’re logged in and new applicants are thoroughly vetted to make sure they’re not spammers or scammers (or even spanners …) so random people on the net don’t get to view your personal profile.
* We control the website and can make modifications as we need – for example we would like to add a web-public shop front for those who wish to use it, where you can display your products and services – without potential clients discovering how many dogs you have, or your marital status…
